Denise Walker – Promoted to Assistant Vice President, Accounting Manager
Denise joined the Cornerstone Accounting Team in 2008 and received her promotion of Account Manager in 2019. Throughout her tenure, Denise has demonstrated complete ownership in her area by taking on audits, new processes, workflow escalations, in addition to being an essential resource on several strategic projects. Denise exercises her strong leadership skills daily by providing the Accounting Team direction, increasing their knowledge and abilities to create a dynamic and resilient team. In addition, Denise exemplifies our Core Value of Community being the treasurer at her church and frequently raising funds for Lockport CARES and CARENET.
Doug Nelson – Promoted to Assistant Vice President, Lending Manager
Doug has been an outstanding contributor since joining our team in May 2020. Doug brings 20 plus years of industry expertise, including consumer, business, and real estate underwriting skills and collections experience. He has successfully led our Collections Team in his short tenure beginning January 2021. Doug has been instrumental in creating and executing our business lending strategy, including product development. In addition, he has assisted in creating new underwriting guidelines for consumer and real estate lending, a new consumer lending policy, and our Freedom Equity product and pricing matrix. Doug has quickly become an integral part of the success of Cornerstone’s lending team, making a tremendous impact in just a short time.
