Lockport, NY – Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce work will begin in the coming month on their newest location at 5810 S. Transit Rd., Lockport. Press and media are invited to attend the groundbreaking November 16, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. This new location anchors the credit union’s presence in the Lockport community on S. Transit Rd., the region’s main thoroughfare, with an accessible and visible location as it continues to serve the community after 65 successful years. A grand opening is planned for 2023. Located within two miles (five minutes) of the former headquarters at 55 Stevens Street in Lockport, this new branch and new headquarters is positioned at the northwest corner of S. Transit and Strauss Road. The new location will provide members with a comfortable, attractive facility that hearkens back to Cornerstone’s roots and affirms their commitment to the community. Fontanese Folts Aubrecht and Ernst Architects, P.C. designed the building with careful attention to the needs of the community. Concept Construction is the contractor. The existing structure at the site is being completely remodeled (interior and exterior), and ground has been broken on an addition. The completed building will total 3,800 sq. ft. This beautifully designed branch embodies Cornerstone’s link to the historic region with teller stations resembling the Lockport Locks Flight of Five. Convenience and safety are top of mind, with a four-way light at the intersection, three wide drive-thru teller lanes, an ATM, and plenty of parking. The branch also includes administrative offices and meeting space. During the transition to the new location, the Stevens branch will remain open, and members can also confidently use online services for deposits, transfers, and loan applications. They also can access the MoneyPass ATM network and Shared Branch locations across the U.S., including the Shared Branch at 260 West Ave., Lockport, NY 14094, which is within walking distance of the Stevens location. All of Cornerstone’s services are also always available at our other branches: 5 State Street in Middleport, 4255 Witmer Road in Niagara Falls, 107 Main Street in N. Tonawanda, 6485 S. Transit Road in Lockport and 315 Stahl Rd in Getzville, Erie County Chief Executive Officer Eric M.
